Default errrr..tint..2013 Scion tC..

In Alaska, if you have a hatchback you are considered a SUV or crossover.. Unless you have 2 doors.

Just found this out, so basically, the front windshield, driver side, and passenger side mirrors cannot have tint on them legally at all. (I wouldn't put on windshield anyway) and all 3 mirrors behind the first 3 can have tint, 40% and higher.

): I'm picking my silver Scion tC up Thursday and i wanted it tinted 15% on all back 3 windows... but not legal here, will 40% even look like there's tint on a silver car? and will it just look dumb?.. might roll without tint.

I had a Civic 2 door before (black). Same rules here in BC. I had the 3 windows running 20% tint. I thought it looked okay but you can definitely see a huge contrast with the side windows.

Never had 40% but I would imagine it won't be very dark but still good enough to block some sun if you're inside.

I'm getting my tC in a week and I'm not going to tint. I actually like the clean look now.

my 50% sides are barely noticeable, especially if you have the moonroof open.

IMO, the rear windshield has to be tinted, it looks weird with the black borders to not be tinted, it sticks out alot. it looks better when tinted cause it hides the black borders and makes the look more clean.

im thinking il probably go 15% on the hatch window and keep rest untinted, whats your opinion? or should i tint hatch/two triangles 35% etc.. any tips

heres a really good pic to photoshop (can you make 2 pictures? One with just the rear hatch window tinted 15% and then another picture with hatchback window + the 2 small rear windows tinted to give me a good idea.) thanks so much

I know this photo isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it does show how my 15% tint goes very well with the factory tint on the sunroof.

I vote to do 15% on the rear and leave everything else untinted.

steve is right, at 15% most tint blend in with the roof very well, main reason why i tinted.

also who ever said they were an officer, i don't think you have to worry that much if you really did get pulled over. i dont know what your experience is as an officer who was been pulled over before, but i don't think tint would be the primary reason for anyone to be pulled over. its usually something they tack on.

I really like the tint on the back it looks smooth, yeah they need probable cause to pull anyone over.

I work security for airforce and army base but I could definately pull it off as factory tbh. I really like the sides being clean and the hatch being dark. That's 15% in the pic to make sure?

Is that your car?. If that is a guaranteed 15% in that pic I will be getting it, thanks for your help.
