Is it true that service is free for 5,000-10,000 ???

First Three oil changes i know are free. I am not sure about the rest though. so that covers oil changes and filters until 15,000 miles.

basically, free service for the next 15000, there is nothing else you need to do.

That may have changed. I just bought mine on Saturday and the salesperson said 3, but we looked at the card and it was just the 5K and 10K. The Owners manual says the same.

I hope you're right, but I think it changed.

I dunno, my guy said it was the first three. I actually got a different deal on my '05 xB though, i had free oil changes for the life of the lease. i have to talk to my guy to get it that way again.

We were told at the Backstage event that they were changing from three oil changes to doing the first two services which would correspond to 5,000 and 10,000 and include two oil changes. They don't do much on the first two services--quite a bit more on the 15,000 which you would pay for.

The manual in my new XB clearly states that the first two changes, at 5000 and 10000 miles. are free. The first 3 were free for my gen1 xb...

I just got mine today, and the guy said the first 3. It's supposed to be at every 5,000 miles...but he suggested getting one at 3k, 5k and then 10k.

Picked up my xB. It's the first 2 Oil changes. There is even a little pamphelt that says 1st 2 oil changes. I believe the problem stems from the 15k service being more than just oil. People assumed the extire service was free and not justhe oil change. So in order to avoid confusion, they dropped it to 2 oil changes...
