maybe u dont wanna believe me but when i bought my 08 tc they were talking statistics first with my mom and slipped out a couple of times that there was a 6cyl version...then when asked bout it they said it was only a four banger....so possibly them knowing a 6 is on its way?

 

This just in: Dealers are idiots. People on this forum know much more about the cars than they do.

 

Its possible they were confused with the Solara.

 

Um dude i doubt a dealership would have any clue about that. I mean it would be all over the net and some car mag would have spy shots. I think they where confused because the tC has the camry's 4banger in it. But then again i could be wrong. But there have been rumors of this for so long until anything is fact from toyota's corporate im not buying it.

OP, you really think some sales person at a Toyota deaership has any clue what EVERY new car will have in it?

If this was the case with the thousands of salesman across the world, nothing would ever be a secret.

 

sales people in general don't know jack!! There is none, and there never will be a 6 cylinder tC...unless someone swaps it in with a lot of cash to spare...as one has. the tC will be off the market in a few more years and i highly doubt that scion/toyota will find it cost effective to make this car a v6

 

slipped it out huh? perhaps trying to trick your mom into paying extra to get a "6 cylinder" tC.

Dealers are idiots I back that up, well some, my dealer told me I knew more about the tC than he did...

 

yeah, seriously, can you edit the name of this post to something along the lines of "i overheard some dumb car salesman thinking that there is going to be a v6 tc, and i believed them, but know i realize i was wrong and very foolish for actually posting this on here."

there is a V6 tc.... its in FL... but yea, none are in production or will be. I don't like the salesmen who totally BS you for a sale... I have met a few that actually are pretty cool mainly cause they dont work on commission.
