Tire size for best fitment with 18"s
Hey guys,
I have an xD lowered with the TRD springs. It seems like it dropped the car by quite a lot, I'm going to get a set of 18"s and I don't want to rub anything as its my daily driver.
I'm pretty set on getting
Liquid Metal Statics
18x7.5
45mm offset

But i'm not sure on tire sizing. I want to get 225/40/18s. It seems to give the most options for tires, and the lower cost too (i'm cheap
). But it's also the largest in overall diameter. So I'm considering two other sizes 215/40/18 (per tirerack.com), or 215/45/18 (per discounttiredirect.com).
Which size do you guys think would go best? Least rub or other problems??

225.40.18 would fit great on there if you are looking to save some money. Other good sizes are 215.45.18 and I show you can go all the way up to a 235.40.18 before you get close to rubbing at stock height.
Here is a Tire Calculator to help you compare, put in your origional size to compare them too.
