Ive been going back and fourth on this and i want your input. Some may know i have an HID retro and im running OEM Denso 35w ballast. Ive been thinking about upgradding to 55w digital ballast so it could obviously be brighter. Ive seen some pics on HIDPlanet.com and its a noticeable difference. Ive also been thinking about getting some VRD (APT) fogs for a good while now but never made the purchase. Ive seen some people have problems with them poping out and fogging. the ballast will be a direct swap and both the fogs and ballast are right at the same price. I might get both later on but for now would like input on what yall think, let me know.

 

I have the vrds with yellow nokya bulbs and love them. Not too much of a visibility increase with a retrofit though... I just really like the look. When I used 6000k bulbs, you could tell, but when I switched to 4300k it wasn't really noticeable. I have the vrd ones and have never had issues with fogging or them popping out. I thought they were pretty well made actually...

 

i vote vrd's! they look sick. plus you could always upgrade to 55w in the future.

 

I've had the APT fogs on for about 6 months or so now and haven't had any issues...honestly I don't think i've ever heard of the popping out
