Default 2008 Scion XB poor ride quality

Guys, I have had my 08 for a year now and i have never been happy with the ride, i have been thinking about what i could to improve it. I bought the car with the TRD wheels and springs. one idea i had is put factory springs back on and then put 225/45r19 tires and hope they dont rub. but its an costly test. then i thought about just trading up with someone for there stock springs and wheels mabe the 16inch upgrades. dont know, any ideas to help me improve this car.

First thing I would try is riding in a stock xB (maybe at the dealership). See if the ride is much different from your xB

it should be softer with the smaller wheels. basically bigger wheels means less tire sidewall which means rougher ride.

if it is really too rough for you, get some 16's and some big soft economy tires with a squishy sidewall to absorb the bumps.

It's the rims... you can easily try your stocks and go from there.

Hmmmm. I was in a xB with trd's and the ride felt good and smooth to me, springs were nf-210's, but than again what I think is smooth may be different from what you think.

I was also in an xB that had 22 and the ride sucked and the wheels were just over kill!!!!

If you ever look to sell the trd wheels def let me know.

Have you ever test drove a stock xB?? You have you stock 16" wheels right? Cause I would slap them on and test the ride with the stock wheels and trd springs.

Def not a fan of the trd springs, maybe think about swoping for. Some nf 210's from tanabe. Def some amazing springs for sure!!

Hey Joe! Once you test drive the stock let me know if you like it. I actually have my stock rims, tires, and springs if your interested. Tires have only 1,700 miles on them and springs about 3,000.

I got rid of the TRD springs and 16 steel wheels and went to a Hotchkis sport springs and a 225/40R18 inch. I think mine rides better after loosing the TRD's
