Headlights
This goes out to all xA and xB stock headlights or aftermarket. When you are driving at night with your headights on do you see a lot of people flashing you with there high beams and if so why? Is it because the lights are pointing to high or do they just like the lights.
i get the same thing then again i have high output lights too i had to adjust mine... my right one was higher then my left i took my left one down two turns and my right one down 5 turns... my low hit the road for about 40 feet and my highs shine for about 100 125 yards... i can see the road great now... the best thing to do is go to a level area and shine the lows on teh building try to be about 10-15 feet away... so you can see the main light beam... adjust to were the are in the same level ... them drive on the road see if you can see better worse... then adjust ___ needed from there.... its easy to do
yeah i get flashed every night on the way home. i think were just at the right height to be in their eyes. I dont even think they are that bright, I often find myself checking to see if my headlights are even on. But I just installed fog lights with Silverstar Ultras in them and it definately helps make it a little brighter in front of me. if somebody flashes their lights, just flash your brights back and give them a reason to complain.
i got flashed all the time when i had my regular halogens in there, then when i went to HID's it got worse, i have my projectors aimed as low as they can be and sometimes if i am on a dark road i still get flashed...it might be because of the 30,000k bulbs though lol
yeah..
i got flashed too, and when i took a look at my headlights (after blacking out the housing) i saw that my left headlight was brighter than the right one.
is there a **** to twist on the back to adjust it?

thread from the dead!!!
the headlights are the same output unless you have a bad ground. the pass side headlight will sit a tad higher then the drivers one. you can google how to aim your lights the right way and if they were never adjusted or your car was never in a wreck, don't worry about it. the headlight s are aimed correctly.
i flash Saturns all the time but its the way their beam is and i usually feel bad.
i run HID's in my headlights and fogs and nobody has yet to flash me yet. and i never aimed or adjusted them since i had the car.

one thing i can say about people with projectors (like me) is that they tend to bounce up and down since they have such a directed beam of light, kinda like when you have someone behind you on a sport bike and it looks like they are flashing their lights.
either that or there's someone in your back seat with a knife and they're trying to warn you of your impending doom

me flashing back is justified. them flashing me for having my lows on is not.
besides, if somebody is dumb enough to own one mustang, let alone three of them, then thats reason to LOL right there. Talk about moron.....

If you switched to HIDs and are using the stock reflectors, then you are going to get flashed (at least in my experience). HIDs are _really_ bright and, as reflected and aimed by the stock reflectors, point directly at cars that sit lower.
You might want to move to an aftermarket reflector or headlight assembly, or try to adjust the pitch of the bulbs.

i put in some hids recently and lowered the aim just a tad. i was getting flashes with the hids, but before them, i wasn't getting flashed at all. but if you are, lower your aim. turn that **** wheel on the back of your lights, counterclockwise to lower.
