Default problems with Weapon R intake

damn i haveing the same problems. I installed it and checked it over 20 times no air leaks everything is tight. but when i shift into 2 gear around 2k rpm the car gets really loud and goes no where. The higher RPMS i dont really have a problem. How long does it take for the ECU to learn the intake because honestly my car feels broken. And i know i installed it right even had my mechanic look at it. Because with my eclipse i installed it and worked no problems this is bugging the ____ out of my. Do i wait longer to i reset it again. HOw long do i leave it to reset etc...PLEASE HELP ASAP

check the other threads about intakes, (they're in the Power Hungry forum, where this should be.) other have talked about letting the car idle for 10-20 min before driving it to let the ECU get used to it.

wait do you mean that when you are at 2k RPMs then you shift into 2nd gear?

How did you do your reset? Did you do the fuse trick or disconnect your battery? If you disconnect your battery, do it for at least 30 mins. A shorter time will reset your radio presets but might not reset your ECU.

check the o-ring in the maf sensor-it might be a tiny bit small. had the same problem, and i changed out the o-ring for one just a little bit bigger, and no more cel. did 300 miles since that, and i'm perfect. even put in the ram air(sweet).

Do you have a picture of where this is located at?

if the maf sensor on your intake pipe is located on the top of the piping (not the side facing the firewall) you got one of the fist (prototype pipes). call weapon-r (ask for leo) and they will replace it for you you can get there number off ther website
