Default Dealers lie?

i went to my dealer to get the a/c worked on and i asked one of the salespersons, if the scions where selling well. He told me that they cant keep them in stock!! i find this hard to believe because one of the scions that i was lookin at to buy about 2 months ago was still there? any comments? :?: :?:

This, in conjunction with this thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9584 , has led me to believe your a very gullible person.

"No, dealers never lie, they're your friends and only want to help you" (likily Scion salesmen adhere to pure pricing of Scion, so they're really not trying to screw you over)

Has any salesman ever said that his product was selling poorly?

I don't think they are allowed to sell their show cars... The first xA and xB they had (back in December/January on the east coast)...

I remember when the pontiac salesman told me the Aztecs were selling well, on the radio on the ride home I hear how GM was turning them into cheep fleet cars to try and get rid of the overstock!

My dealers been honest.. They've now sold 1 xB (me) have two RS1's on order (one is me) and sold one xA (as of last time I talked with them). That's TWO in two months.. I wouldn't want to depend on that for income!

It should get better though, they are a good car that makes sense.. I suspect they'll (the xA's anyway) sell well in the summer when all the rich kids get theri new cars for college.

We really are selling all we can get our hands on! There is one exception though. I've had the same white xB auto in the showroom for almost 2 weeks. Other than that, we can't get enough. We have actually started trading some of our toyotas for other dealers scions!! It seems like some places are doing very well and some other places here on the east coast have only sold a couple since launch.

We sold I believe 18 in February, but only like 5 or 6 so far this month. We've had some of the same xAs on the ground since the beginning, but the xB's still move in & out fairly quick.

I've heard from people with relatives that work at Toyota dealerships that the scions aren't doing so hot in the Southern USA markets, but are doing well in the Cali markets. I guess the dudes in the south prefer mudflaps and gunracks ;)

There is more than enough room in the xb to put a gunrack! You could fit a few in there actually.

The Xb is selling great Xa it's a little slower. But keep in mind that every Scion dealer has to keep a DEMO unit to show the customers, that might be the same one that you saw.

I can't speak for everyone but here in Hagerstown MD. we have been selling everything we can get our hands on. The only old units we have are our xa,xb demos, they have been here since December. We have had offers on those but don't wish to sell them yet. Also with the supply demand issue they just don't build a ton of these cars.

we've sold 15 of them in the past 2 weeks. The average new car sits for 70 days before it's sold...the average scion is 9!

They are selling great. We have 3 sitting on our lot that have been here for some time...1 was an unwind (someone bought it and we had to take it back because the wife wanted a different color and the stupid salesman rolled the car without the wife contracting) and the other is a demo (we have a two tricked out cars, 1 xA which we took to pomona and the s/c xB).

We are selling more XBs than XAs. The only car we have had for about 2 weeks is a silver XA 5speed. Alot of the people that call us or visit are looking for XBs 5speed but as soon as one comes in, its gone :D Therefore, we juiced up our inventory with 5speed XBs!

I would like to know which dealerships that the relatives work at in the south here that are not selling these Scions. I could use their inventory. By the way Southeast Toyota was number 1 Scion volume over all the other regions in the USA. :D

The problem is, when you put the rifle rack in the rear window, the rifles fall out when you open the hatch!
