Does anyone have a sound clip of the K&N Intake and the Injen CAI I think I'm going to order the Injen but I wanted to know how
the K&N sounded also but, it's going to have to sound a lot better than the Injen since the Injen produces a lot more power.

Ive had both on my car with the injen in SRI and CAI mode. The SRI is the loudest but in CAI mode there really isnt much difference between the Injen and the K&N

The dyno runs that a shop did and ran showed yes.... but... your butt dyno would probably never feel the difference...

I personally believe the Injen Looks Better... but to each is own...

 

if u drive an auto, dont get either of them.

 

Thats actually why I switched from the K&N to the Injen...it matched my polished AW header better..turns out it makes more power too...Talk about a win win

 

Same situation with me, had the K&N, gave it to my g/f, then went Injen.

The Injen install is more a pain in the ___, but at least they seem to know how the tC is made at least. For example, one piece on the K&N just sits there and somewhat "hangs" on. You have to cut one of your hoses, etc.

It those little things that ____ed me off about it. If you want to go K&N to stock, you'd have to buy a couple new parts just to make it work again :\

the main thing i hate on a auto is exhaust but i think a air system is fine with a auto

 

i just ordered an injen cai and im 16 and have never really done anything with cars before other than, installing my luminics bulbs which doesnt really count as anything, changing my wheels, painting my brake calipers, and stuff like that, i have taken apart and put together bikes about every other day but do you think it would be a good idea for me to have my intake installed professionally or do it myself with a friend?

 

You should probably have some competent mechanic do it for you. If you do decide to do it yourself, don't take the bumper off. The instructions say you have to, but I got it done just fine with just removing the drivers side wheel and splash shield. It makes the lower mount a little harder to get to, but with a 10mm wrench you can get by just fine.

 

injen > K&N

i own a K&N but driven a car wit the injen. i lik the injen better. a little stronger and smoother in response.

 

you and a friend should do it. it takes a good amount of wiggling for that second pipe to get in... but don't force it too much. other than that, the install should be easy.

 

if you go injen, I'd suggest wrapping it in a towel when attaching the "cold air" pipe. Anyone that's ever installed one would probably recommend the same thing

Also, if you're going to do it yourself, make sure you have all the tools necessary.... the most important being a wratchet set.
