Default Injen CAI WTF!!!

Well I just installed my intake and it sounds badass. Sounds stock under 3500rpm, after 3500rpm .
<<<< a short sound clip, will take a better one later.
This screw gave me hell.

And after finally taking that screw out and moving this whole pice out and placing it on the Injen intake it dont fit right.

Oh it dont end there the screws for the MAF got stripped too...... I got one in though should be good for now till i replace one screw. My MAF censor is just sitting there by one screw and not all the way tight

Ready for the road Wonder if others have had this problem? Im still very happy with my intake. Like I said it sounds BaDass in WOT

It's good to know that im not retarded and could not make it fit correctly. The MAF sensor stayed in place with just one bolt so i should be good, if not I got some zip-ties handy

What was the work around you did to get it to fit.

I have an Injen CAI on the way and it will be hell to pay if I can't get it installed.

Damn, that sucks! I almost went with the Injen too.

Little off topic, but can you put up or pm me a pic of the front of your car? I wanna see how the grill looks in the whole pic. Thanks!

Well its not really hard to install the intake, its just a pain in the butt to take of the bumper off . The second part of the intake where the air filter goes is a little tricky to make fit right.

When your all done and set the intake fits like a glove just make sure you install the MAF sensor before u install the intake to the throttle body (the directions dont mention it in the steps ) its much easier. Here's some pics so u know how it should end up like.

Any ??? just ask me. Here some pics of the grill. BEFORE

AFTER

and i know my engine bay is dirty but i work on a construction site and theres some much dust. its a pain in the butt to keep it clean all the time

Thanks for the advice.

I see you did not put the Injen Hydroshield on it. Are you not worried about hydrolock or did you go another route?
