Scion FR-S Does Battle With European Rivals

We can’t get enough of these Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ comparisons against other remotely worthy cars. The Scion/Subaru sports cars are so good, they have created a new topic of discussion in automotive circles. The /DRIVE Network on YouTube, for instance, has an entire section on their website called “#BRZorThat“.

The FR-S/BRZ is elevating the inexpensive sports car category much like how the Acura NSX elevated the exotic car category. Generally, when one automotive segment improves, other segments follow suit. We’re likely to see all cars get a little sportier because of the FR-S/BRZ’s successful existence. Furthermore, we are likely to see automakers create more competition for the FR-S/BRZ, but until that happens, magazines like European Car are going to compare the FR-S to anything remotely similar, like the E30 BMW M3 and the Volkswagen GTI.
