Scion iQ Gets Recalled
The problem is in a cable. It’s part of the system that determines whether or not someone is sitting in the passenger seat. If there is someone there, then the airbag system and the seat belt pre-tensioner are both activated. However, if the cable is damaged by adjusting the passenger seat, the system might not work.
Owners of the iQ will be receiving letters from Toyota shortly and we’re sure that dealerships will be glad to help. Surprisingly, it affects 11,200 cars. I had no idea Toyota had sold that many of these little coupes.
