Let’s not beat around the bush: the Scion iQ is weird. Don’t take that as a bad thing; it isn’t. Scion’s pudgy micro car is surprisingly comfortable, handles like a fwd go-kart and looks pretty good on some aftermarket 16 wheels. The reason it’s weird is in part because you’d have to consider buying 16″ rims in the first place. It’s small size automatically makes it a non-option for a certain portion of the population, but for those who are willing to live with a little car, the iQ is probably the best option available.

The two videos below are walk around shots of the iQ’s exterior and interior. Certainly, if you have kids or a dog, or need to carry anything larger than a backpack on a regular basis, the iQ is probably not on your shortlist of new cars. However, if you’re interested in saving money (on parking, gas, purchase cost, et cetera) I’d say its worth looking at.

Also, you can make it look like the one at the top of this page. I mean, i’m not sure what kind of engine work you’d have to do to necessitate hood vents, but I’m a sucker for cars that are clearly not race cars doing race car things. See: The Sno*Drift XD

What do you think? Is the iQ worth the cost of entry? Let us know in the comments below.
