i've always been a fan of evos, and this one looks just as great
however, mitsu seems like its going downhill
how many of the new eclipses has anyone seen??
or the new diamantes
or anything new thats from mitsu
Meh, I'll stick with the IX.
The X doesn't use a 4G63 so the only mods that have a chance at carrying over are just exhausts, and possibly only cat-backs at that. The hood vent on the VIII's and IX's is toward the front of the hood and sits above the heat shield over the exhaust manifold. If it's the same idea on the X, it looks like the engine gets turned 180º, as the vent is towards the back.

agreed,.. all the hard edge agressiveness looks to be lacking and being taken away..interesting to see the final car.. but i prefer this years model over any...and most likely future ones.. whose designing cars lately bubble heads? blah
It looks to more Mitsubishi put more design cues from the current Galant into the new Lancer.
And the one pictured above is the Ralliart which is supposed to be turbocharged but can't figure out where the intercooler would be, unless it is in the front, but the grill looks too small.

Wow! That's the first real pic I've seen of one. And, yes that is prob the Ralliart. But, it's not supposed to (and probably won't) be t/c'ed. They're supposed to come with nicer wheels and interior and should have navi as an option and will be a lot nicer than the base models, but as far as I know, they're keeping the evo as the only turbo model. Oh and about having not seen any new Diamante's, they stopped making them (for the US) two years ago, but you're right about not seeing too many of anything else on the road... Mitsu's sales are in the crapper.
