Hey there folks. My girlfriend just bought a 2010 Toyota Corolla S as a graduation present to herself. I am a long time tC owner (2008 RS 4.0) and have loved it forever.

I did alot of reviews on the Corolla and got alot of mixed feedback. I saw the 6 recalls for the 2010 and the subsequent 6-7 recalls for the 2009 and 2007 series. Also, looked at the pre-recall crash test simulations vs. post-recall crash tests and was terrified from what I found.

However, I did see that JD Power Associates and NHSTA gave the post-recall Corolla "Good" ratings and awards across the board. My biggest worry is that what if her car wasnt caught in time or at all for the recalls and shes driving the newest death machine?

SO, the ultimate question is: Is this a safe and reliable car as some would have me believe. Or is my g/f driving a brand new shiny meat grinder that will easily make her a hamburger patty.
