Default 2011 Fiesta

So I just discovered this Ford European car coming to the states this spring or summer. I gotta admit, it looks pretty nice. http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com...gs/Hatchbacks/
It's making me think twice about going with an Xd. Ah decisions decisions

There's a manufacturer demo in the area I've seen a few times. I think I have a pic of it somewhere. Definitely not a bad little car.

I'm still torn between the Xd and the Fiesta. I've had my eye on the Xd for months until I heard about the Fiesta a little while ago. Other than looks, and the uniqueness of the Xd, I don't really see anything going for it to keep me from getting the Fiesta. What do you guys think?

Honestly I think I would go for the FIesta..as far as I can tell it also gets better MPG than the xD no? I don't know what the aftermarket support for the Fiesta is like in Europe (or if it even really exists) so the xD wins in that department..otherwise I say go Fiesta

One complaint I hear from Xd owners is that the road noise is terrible and that it can't handle rough roads very well - which makes you wonder about the wear n tear that takes on the car later on. Any opinions on this?
Other than that.. I think I'm opting for the Xd over the Fiesta

Sound insulation on all cheap cars blows.

The rear suspension is not independent but a torsion bar setup which leads to a harsh ride over uneven pavement, same for both fiesta and xD

i have an xD and I liked the Fiesta. seats felt good, i liked the tight cockpit. available 160hp engine for the same as a 125hp xD? think about...Jim Farley got Ford going in the right direction. Kinda how he had (yes had) Scion up running. bring over the cool stuff from overseas. That's what we want, right?

Not sure how aftermarket will go. the car is a new design even for Europe.

yes please

Not a bad looking car, the white wheels look pretty good on red.

I haven't read any review that doesn't list the Fiesta at the top of the class, whereas the Xd mostly sits at the bottom all alone. There must be something special about it.
That said.. I decided against the Fiesta, and I'm trying to find a used Xd for around 11-12k, but finding a black Xd with a manual tran is tough

It is one of the only subcompact cars offered by a US based car company that can compete with the other Asian/European models. I have seen one in person at auto shows and I will say without a doubt from what I have seen it blows the xD out of the water. Many people are saying this car could give the Fit a serious run for its money.
