2011 Nissan Juke
#28
I'm actually real close to buying this car.
2011 Nissan Juke SL AWD (Fully Loaded Version)
Dealer quoted me at $24,300 before taxes.
The test drive was amazing. The AWD version only comes in CVT automatic transmission, which I don't mind since I spend 90% of my driving in cities and traffic jams. It definitely feels a LOT quicker than my 2005 tc. It also looks better in person. All these online pictures do not do it any justice.
Biggest highlights in my decision:
1) Leather, bluetooth, navigation, keyless button start, moonroof, heated front seats, great stereo system (good speakers and subwoofer) at a very competitive price.
2) Three modes you can choose from - FWD, AWD, and torque vectoring AWD (I don't know why anyone would ever turn off the AWD)
3) Three driving modes to choose from - Economy, Sport, Normal (You definitely feel the difference between the 3 and it will come in handy)
4) CVT transmission is very responsive.... It also comes with a semi-manual shift mode
5) Very short car. At ~162 inches, it is almost a foot smaller than my 2005 TC. Great for parking and oh yeah.. the SL version comes with a rearview parking monitor in your Nav system. Why anyone needs a rearview camera on a 162 inch car? I have no idea. But if it's there I will use it.
6) Space is ok. You can have a 5'9 driver and a 5'9 passenger behind him seated comfortably. 6'0 driver and 6'0 passenger, not so good. I'm 5'6 and friend was 6'2 sitting comfortably behind me.
The other car I was looking at was a 2011 WRX, but I am about 90% sure I will get the Juke instead.
edit: reason why I didn't get it yet is because of color and dealer stock issues. The SL version seems to be so popular, they're sold out at most places.
And I just saw my signature... Boy, I haven't posted on these boards in a long time

I like it but yea i was kinda like huh when they say its a competitor with the tC2. But hey its turbo and a mini SUV and some kids might like that. Its also four doors and the younger crowd usually likes having some utility.

Actually, most dealers are shocked when they see me asking about that car because I'm "so young".... I'm 25. All the salesmen have been saying that most people interested in this car are 35-60. I've talked to 4 dealerships so far.

Totally bringing this thread back from spinning off into necro-land...
Has anyone else looked at the Juke? I'm adding it into my list, going to be replacing my 2006 Honda Pilot with a better mpg (everything from a civic to an xD) and the more I look at this Juke, the more I'm reminded of looking at our '05 xB when we bought it new.
It's so ugly. It's just designed weird. It feels peppy, but it's so slow. People look at like like 'wtf'...
But this one has AWD and Turbo... it's like someone took the idea of the xB1 and gave it a big set of funny looking *****.
