i drove around in a 1996 nissan sentra gxe..

it was a pos, but i loved it.

the car actually had some potential so i fixed it up, i turbo'd the 1.6 it had, then the motor blew, then i swapped it for a 2.0, then turbo'd that and then the tranny blew.. so i fixed it and did some cosmetic mods, and when it was finally reaching its peak, my dad spontaneously gave it away...

but then i got my tC

first car was a 82 Toyota Cressida had over 200k miles on it, drove it till had enough money saved up to get a new car.
So if you have enough saved for a new car get an econo car like xb, yaris, fit, civic. They last and are cheap on insurance too.
Otherwise used from 90-98 model camry's or accords.

Look for safety, reliability, and economy. It's hard to beat a good used Camry for these virtues.

91-94 Nissan sentra, it will run forever and shouldent give any problems. or you can go to mexico and get a 2006 nissan tsuru for about 5k, and the best thing is it looks just like a 91-94 sntra

The Versa is built in Mexico. So doesn't tht mean bad build quality? But a Yaris sounds like a good car. Not trying to thread jack but do you guys think I shouldn't get an xB as my first car?

i say xB as first car, i mean, its only got 108 or so horse so i ain't gonna be flying around at 100 often, and it has room for friends(mainly for transportation to give rides home and such cause lots of kids live by me) and it also has some cargo room so when i go to college i can take stuff in my car, depending on how far away i go.

and i just love the car

I thought w/all the new restrictions you wouldn't be having passengers anyway?
