Corolla S vs Sentra S
Ok my friend would be buying a car soon. She narrowed her choices down to Corolla S, Sentra S and maybe a Civic.
Which are would be better for my friend?
I personally like the Corolla S more.

How about..... A corolla CE. The S is a over priced car. All the extra things you get for the cost, dont add up to how much they charge for it. Tell her CE & get some of the things aftermarket. I would not even look into Sentras, why? The last great Nissan was the Skylines & Silvias 
As for a Civic, I dont really have anthing bad or good to say, just that its a honda

Corolla CE is nice but the body kit on the S looks really good. The S has some nice standard stuff that the CE only gets as an option. The Corolla's have better door handles compared to the Sentra's flip handle.
Which year Civic? 2005 or 2006? If 2005, I could go with the 'Rolla. But if 2006, let her test out the 2006 and compare. No MPG rating on it yet. 2006 sedan has a 140bhp/ i-VTEC engine. Has the pull out door handles like the 'Rolla. Inform her of the 2006. Keep in mind that this would be a 1st model year and there might be some rattles and such.

You have to get him into the corolla_S. I mean it is the better looking of the 3 by far. It already has a kit (so to speak) he can opt for 17's and TRD still makes the supercharger for it. I'd even suggest the XRS with the 6 speed to. That thing is FAST. It's got the celica GT-S engine in it. But you guy know that already.

Sorry, I'm the one that voted the Sentra S. I almost got a Sentra (although it was the SE-R SpecV) but I got the tC instead.
For me, I'm a bigger guy, and at 6', I found the pedals in the corolla to be uncomfortable. For the clutch, my foot felt that it was bending at unnatural angles.

Sentra's are made in Mexico. They are the lowest rated Nissan's in terms of quality and have fallen a long ways since they were made in Japan. My family has always owned Nissans, so I have seen the drop in quality over the last 10 years. Look at the crap coming out of their plant in Mississippi.
