does Scion pay attention anymore?
X2 hands down with you! The only reason I'm glad that isn't the 2nd gen is because I would give up 1 or 2 1st gens to get one!
Those are so sik I could cry just looking at them!

I wouldn't say it's going so well.

Toyota has bigger problems right now with their gas peddle sticking problem--it's going to cost them millions to fix, let alone punitive damages being brought in all the law suits. Bringing the bB model over next might be a cheap model change when the time comes... just thinking out loud.
yea, a new tC is needed to stay in the market. The "wow" is gone for many, & there's too much out there now that fits the bill .. Forte, Genesis, Si, Altima
Why is it we all know that Scion could be so much more than the path it's taken in the last few years... & they don't

i still feel very strongly about this car saving Scion. they jacked around with the xB2 and the economy jacked up the world. but seeing as there are LHD versions already of the QNC, there is already the parts there to have this car. but is does look weird, but does the NCP xB lok weird too? that was the whole idea i thought. yea, Toyota saw the Rumion as an answer to the whining customers that the NCP was too small( blah blah blah) and let 5Axis design it resulting in little aftermarket and creativity in the brand. the QNC was a continuation of of that edginess. yea, i didn't like the QNC at first either. but it grew on me exactly the way the NCP did. i don't care for the Daihatsu/Subaru versions
Right on! The rock star approach Scion took back in 2003 has turned into a conservative car company just like Toyota.
OK Here's my take on the If I was in charge of Scion deal. I would end the second gen xB right now with the 7.0. Stop production, and when there gone there gone. Bring this to the states by summer.
Second the D would go with the iQ to replace it. Same way out with a bang on a release series.
This would do two things. Bring the wow factor back to Scion, and by ending production early on the second gen B and the D it would make them cool and unique on the back end with a short production life.
Keep the new tC set to hit the streets as planned but then go to work on a rear wheel drive tC replacement. All line ups back in the $15,000 range.
But that's me from the nose bleed bleacher seats.

The xD I think does fine for what it is, I don't think replacing it with the iQ is necessary at this point - mostly because we haven't actually seen a production Scion version yet. Ya, it should bring back some of the "wow" to the line up.
Ah the tC... absolutely no way they would be able to sell a $15k rwd coupe. And if they wanted to (I'm hearing more and more buzz on this) they could just badge the FT-86 as a Scion somehow - even though I think that would be a bad move. They're planning to sell that around $22k or so and to get it even below $20 to fit with the Scion plan would probably neuter it even further than it already is.
Yeah the $15,000 area was a little sand bagging on the RWD tC but I think $18-22 would be doable. The D would run about a year later on my plan
So it wouldn't be too crazy.
Cars already in production on the streets in another country is not anything Toyota can't handle getting US specked out, and off to the crash lab.
I know its a pipe dream, but with economy the way it is, now is not the time to sit back and be conservative. There are plenty of people with money and just about everyone in America needs a car.
Inexpensive, risk taking & different, mixed with a touch of economical & practical is what got Scion going in the first place. I think they just lost focus and are blending in with every other car company is all were talking about.

If they had brought the current bB here I would have bought it asap. Jowever the new 7.0 at $23,000 plus out the door was just crazy. my new 2010 Jetta TDI was $26,000 out the door with a $1300 tax credit. There are better values and the list price of the IQ is more than my XB was.....with quality dropping something is wrong
