does Scion pay attention anymore?
As I said...
"TORRANCE, Calif. - Toyota is suspending U.S. sales of eight car and truck models to fix sticking gas pedals and halting production lines at plants from Texas to Canada to deal with the problem, the latest to confront the world's No. 1 automaker."
The new head of Toyota North America said his two main focuses was to pump more life into Lexus number one and revive Scion...but I think his priorities changed.

IMO, Toyota, just like VW, realized that a vehicle aimed at a younger generation in this particular market can't work. Base price for an XB (1st gen) was $13,880, typically more than their target market could afford. VW aimed towards an older market with the Jetta (all grown up) redesign. The Xb Sold well, but as it got more expensive to build, and they realized that it was in a nitch market, they aimed the redesign towards a more grown up crowd by making it bigger and more practical. i.e. bigger engine, larger interior, more aerodynamic, less "HOLY CRAP THAT THING LOOKS WEIRD!" I doubt that the bB will make it over here, and replacing the XD would be a great idea, sales aren't what they could potentially be and if Scion is going to have a strange looking car, they could have something that is strange and attractive at the same time, the IQ.
I'd love to see the bB put into the American Market, but I don't think it's realistic at this time, the demand wouldn't be high enough for it since the XB is now being aimed at a more mature market.

who cares who the xB demographic is aimed towards? it's replacement should be aimed at where it started. BACK TO BASICS!!!!
but i know to offer a model replacement that's smaller than the previous is blasphemy which is why Scion screwed from the get go with the xB2

Well I'll cast my vote too... lol...
I have to agree with what Ack said...and the thread starter...
I personally kinda dig the bB pictured....but I also think that the tC is the longest overdue for a fresh look.
