Gracefully bowing out.
Just wanted to say that it's been fun. I had some good times with this car. I wanted a tC way before it was even out and I always saw potential in it. I love my tC and always will but I had to upgrade to something better. So letting anyone who cares know that I traded my tC in.

FOR THIS!!!

Also I have some parts for sale if anyone is interested.

LOL thanks for the good words. No I didnt remove the lip kit or the TRD springs. I ran outa time and I wasnt sure what it would look like without the kit...I got 13700 on trade in with 25k miles. Car was in excellent mechanical and physical condition, barely even any swirl marks after a year and a half (always hand washed with MF cloths). The new car cost 24045 plus tax. It had the spoiler, short throw and auto dimming mirror already installed so that raised the price a tad.
Evo is a lil outa my price range. Plus the 06 WRX has the same EJ25 motor from the STi. Prior years had a 2.0 liter. The 06 has the same 2.5 liter. Different pistons thought but my point is that its quite easy to make this car very fast and comparable to an evo or sti (speed wise). Now obviously if you factor in handling and all of that stuff then its cheaper to buy an sti than turn a WRX into one but thats more money out front and more insurance costs. Plus I like to mod and stuff so it will be fun. Oh not to mention a couple of ppl on one of the suby boards have claim 13.7 second 1/4 mile times stock.......Thats only half a second short of evo/sti numbers if I am not mistaken. Of course you have to be a good driver to achieve those numbers but thats where the fun comes in (practice)........Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Yeah, the rumors about our tranny's are a little overblown. They were really bad in the first 2002 models, they fixed the issue, through 05 they're pretty decent. They won't take much user abuse (ridiculous launches, missed gears)but they're fine for a good driver. In 2006 they actually beefed the tranny up a little more by widening the spacing between syncro teeth, making them a little stronger to cope with the 2.5l. I've accidentily missed a gear a few times in regular driving (only car I've ever done that) and once while pushing it, but I've never had any problems.
I had Cobb stage 1 for almost a year and went stage 2 last week. Believe me, you'll love it! Especially on the 06.
