My girl got a Fit Sport about a month ago. I suggested the xA to her but she really liked the Fit after test driving both. She loves it. The sport doesn't have a lot of leg room, cuz the seats are pushed forward to increase the cargo space compared to the standard trim. As a passenger up front, I wish the seat would slide back a little more than it does. At 5'8" , I don't consider myself a very tall person, but my legs feel a little cramped on longer drives. She's 5'0" so it fits her just fine. I drove it a few times. Feels sprightly on city streets but kind of sluggish on the highways. For the most part, I like it, 'cept for the lack of leg room. She's happy, I'm happy.
Though we usually take my car. I love my box.

The XA is much sexier. It has tons of room. My hubby is over 6 ft and even he tells me that this is the most comfortable car he's driviing in a long time. We recently took it on a trip to DC and with 3 in the car doing over 70 mph we got close to 40 mpg. I love my XA!!!!!

I would go with either the xA or a Yaris. Sit in and test drive both to see which you like better. The Fit might be a nice, functional car, but it's freaking UGLY. Even that tricked out one pictured here in this thread looks like a minivan with goodies.

Go to www.vw.com and check out the new Rabbit. It looks good and it starts at around mid 15k. It is basically power everything and I'm loving the torque on that thing (170tq at 1325 rpm) or something like that. The mpg might be the same as the Tc, but who knows. Juts check it out!

heres some pics of my yaris sedan if it helps you out, still does have a lot of headroom... problem is, if you're into modding, theres not a lot of stuff out yet... cost me around 15K decked out.

How's Fit availability in your area? I would take a look at the VW Rabbit as well. It's got power comparable to the tC and a good amount of space for around the same price as a Fit Sport. Besides, we need someone to tell us the reliability of the new VW products

Default built in?

I read that the nissan versa is made in Mexico...Also sometimes the cheaper VW are also...and trust me cars made in Mexico are CRAP...I have a 01 focus made in Mex and i get 20mpg, and otherwise it sucks...the ones that are made here or overseas are MUCH better quality.

the new rabbit is built in germany. i have an autoweek right here with a longterm test update in it. they love the car. a 2dr starts at 15k. you get comparable power to your tC...only down sid eis they are avergaing 23/25. i woudl go check out vwvortex.com and ask some of the owners there. its BIG vw site so they will be able to help you with anything (im a former vw owner) it would be a real hard pick between the Fit sport and Rabbit. xA and yaris are out of the question for me. i woudl say jsut go test drive em and go with what ya like

I'm obviously biased. I'm waiting for my xA. However, I'm 5'11" and was sitting in the front seat and my pops is 6'1" and sat in the seat right behind me and said he wasnt uncomfortable. Of course, that was only on the test drive, so we were only in the car for like 8 mins.

why do so many people use the word, "sexy" to describe these cars? don't get me wrong, i love my xB and the tC is sweet as h3ll, but sexy it is NOT. i don't think any car under $20K should be referred to as sexy. for that matter, i don't think you can use the word until you get to at least $40K. just my opinion. oh, and the fit is ugly.

Thanks guys for all you help......

I have decided to get a VW Rabbit 2-Door. Due to the 150HP and 170LBS of torque and all the standard features it was the perfect choice. I should be ordering mine next month since I need to try and sell my tC now.....

I can't wait till I order her.....
