let's see where this goes. using the blind as an excuse is inexscusable IMO. people are just geeting too lazy to pay attenetion to whats around them. Ipods and cell phones are more important.

this is a realistic concern for pedestrians and cyclists. If a cyclist is rolling at 10+ mph, going straight through an intersection, and a quiet hybrid comes up next to the cyclist- meaning to make a right turn (assume the car driver does not see the cyclist) , then there could be an issue here.
