Default i'm sorry to say.... i think im going Si

well i have a 2006 scion tc flint mica on automatic tranny, and i was going for speed and excitement.. so i decided hey why dont i trade it in for stick. i have brand new parts just laying in the box waiting for my scion tC on stick, but then i thought a scion is just a toy... no matter how many parts i put on it, will stil be under powered. so i thought maybe i should get an Si, but i have all these performance parts for a scion that id waste away... what should i do? stick with the scion maybe wait out for the rs2, or get an si, and sell these parts on ebay or something....?
Brand new:
INJEN cold air intake
TYC tail lights
Interior LED
TRD sports muffler

I have the box for practical reasons (besides that it looks hot) but if you can afford the civic SI then get that. That car is awesome sooooooooo much better then a TC.

buy an r32 or an evo, or a 350z............
if your looking for power none of your chiocies will ever have it unless you add some boost, I agree the TC and SI both out of the box are underpowered if you compare them to other cars, but you have to remeber the SI and Tc are economy cars with potential and if you want real out of the box power the 3 mentioned above would be better options.
i personally like both the tc and the Si, i think you cant go wrong either way, your buying a well built car from two very good companies........
I would wait to see what the Rs2 has to offer, and maybe wait to see what comes out for the Si, im sure comptech and other well know brands are working out some nice bolt ons.

Ebay the parts? If they are still NIB then you might get some decent $$.

if its that hard a decision just do it. Not to kill the thought but its not like you have a ton of parts laying around. Deffinetly not enough to sway whether to trade or not. I more important reaon not to trade is the butt raping you are going to get by trading in a fairly new car. The parts should be the least of your concerns because that money is recoupable.

check the insurance too.....it may be higher then what your paying for the Tc, the Tc is classified the same as a corolla as i was told, the SI may be different.
also Nick06 is right, your going to loose quite a bit of $$ either trading it in, but you may break even selling it.......

what parts are we talking about that you have?

the only thing uglier than the new civic coupe....... is the uk civic coupe...... too bad... cause other than its looks... it would be great.... if you haven't driven the si... then drive it... if it's just wayyyyy more fun than the tc, then buy it.... there are plenty of people looking for good deals on tc parts... shouldn't be too hard to get rid of... by the way... what parts you got???

You live in Brooklyn New York and you're wanting a car with an 8000 rev limiter and NO TORQUE? I would think the tC would suit your needs much better than the si

Good choice, the Si is a great car with better performance from the factory than the tC. I know people disagree with me, but do a search. HondaSi joined our community and raced his friend that owns a S/c tC. It's a great thread kept clean, i think some of you would be surprised. tq doesn't solve everything.

To me, good call. Enjoy it.

How many times are you going to get to enjoy your 8000 rpm in NEW YORK CITY?

I'm not trying to debate Si vs tC, we all know there more than enough vs threads on here I'm just asking a logical question, would you ever get to enjoy power that doesn't come till extremely high rpm's in such a big city? I'm not saying the tC is better, they both have their strong points, but for mainly city driving the tC seems better suited

Yeah I'm not like die hard stick with the tc stick with the tc! You should get whatever you want no matter what anyone says but I'm just saying that a car that doesn't make its power until up in the rpm's won't be good for mostly city driving.
