Info on the "dl"
yeah man im really thinking its true, totally makes sense. I think think its gonna be released this summer. with the new tC. Thats what happened last year, the new tC came out and the new year xA and xB was out. I dunno guys, getting pretty confident about this stuff. Making total sense. I think were gonna be seeing this car soon, in the next few months. WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!
um, hate to break it to you guys, but the Rav4 is built on the same platform as the Corolla and uses the same engine as both the Camry and ready for this...the tC. The Avensis platform that the tC is built on is about the same size as the Corolla's (if anything, a little bit bigger). The only differance is that the Rav4 has an SUV suspension and wheels/tires. If this is even true, I wouldn't get too excited just yet, its still just a bunch of talk
eeh, they were right the time they told me about the when they were getting rid of the xA and xB. So im thinking its true. I dunno guys i think i totally believe this. Totally makes sense if u think about it. Maybe there gonna make an suv'ish scion. Like look at the xA and look at the echo. same damn car. Just alil more stylish. Maybe they'll do the same thing w/ the rav4. Make it alil more stylish. Stop doubting. U dont know.
I wasn't saying that it for sure won't be an SUV-type car, I'm just saying that since the same modified platform is used for the Corolla and the Matrix, there is no reason to assume that the car will be an SUV.
The truth is, nobody outside of Scion HQ's knows what the next car will be, we can all speculate, but we won't know until Scion wants us to. If they released the details of the next Scion, and its better than anything we have now, then there are some people who would just wait for the new model. The whole car business is based on selling cars now! now! now! so anything that would make someone wait to buy a car is bad for business. Take the new Toyota Avalon for example, pics of that car weren't on the Toyota.com website until a few days before we got our first ones on the lot; Toyota did this so that people would keep buying the old ones instead of saying "Wow, that new one is nice, we'll just wait."
Even the Dealer Reps that come talk to dealerships don't know about new products until Scion HQ wants them to, sure they know about stuff earlier than dealers, but not by as much of a margin as you might think. The release of info is very well controlled by Toyota, you'll notice that it is much more rare to see spy shots of a Toyota than almost any other brand because Toyota is very guarded about the info they allow to be released to the public.
Just to cause some trouble, I heard the next Scion is actually going to be a motorcycle!

there are a few people outside of HQ...
they have been dropping strong hints here and there...anyone smart enough that heard the proper info (not the dealer/salesman...feeding you crap...) can put it together...
remember all those focus groups???

Avensis and tC use different platform (Avensis platform), which also uses Celica suspension.
If I had to guess, I would say that next Scion would be similar to Corolla Verso - sportish, sleek small minivan that seats 7. It would be perfect addition to Scion lineup.
It is built up from Matrix (longer and more upscale).

im not saying my sister knows everything but she works for toyota corp. offices in ky and she hasnt heard anything about the new car, suv, truck, or what ever it is going to be and neither has any of her co-workers
