Looks like Honda bites off Toyota again
I guess Toyota is successful with their "limited edition" RS models in their Scion division so Honda decides to join in:
Honda Element SC (the last 2 letters are misleading, no performance)

To be honest, I was considering the Element before I got my tC. It's a neat mini SUV. It's got lots of interior space and decent performance (for an SUV). What made me not get it was its price. A nicely equiped Element would cost me around $22,500. But my tC only costing $18,900 which is a far better vehicle, the choice was a no brainer.
It's actually good when companies copy one another. It just makes their prices be more competitive, which the consumers win in the end.
I love the clamshell doors. I wish Toyota made the tC a 4dr, ala - RX8.
Honda needs to find a way to sell their cars cheaper, because the Element SC (165hp) sells for $23,000 when you can get this Toyota:

in a 269hp V6 for just $500 more.
I still like the Element tho

What I think is funny is it looks like Element SC is taking it's cue from the xB, instead of being a funky utility box, it's now a funky street box (ala xB).
Also, I don't think Honda is competing with the Toyota RS line, as the RS' are actually more performance oriented (albeit not by much). To me it appears that Honda is piggybacking on Toyota's S line of cars. Basically the same cars with a red Badge and body molding.

^^^There is nothing performance about the RS line of the Scions. Just because a car is painted unlike the rest of the line, given bigger rims, given an aluminum battery tie down, suede seats, monitors in the head rest... doesn't mean it's performance.
Engine and suspension mods mean more performance than putting a badge with a "unique" number on the dash. So far, there is NO stock performance oriented Scion. It would be nice if Toyota actually makes one.
The "S" line of Toyota cars have the same stock rims as the regular models, while the element actually gets larger ones. I think Toyota's "S" models are a joke. If they're going to call something "sport", it should atleast performn better, not just "look" sporty.
