^^that's if they dont go with the new ford or chevy (with rumors they'll be alot cheaper)or with any at all since most departments can't afford officers let alone new cars this year

3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbodiesel — the same engine used in the X5. In the X5, the diesel is rated at 265 hp and 425 lb

should just stickl with the higher end charger... looks like crap

Most likely departments will go with a Taurus-based model:

Learn now what the taurus headlights look like in your rear-view. And they can always go with a twin-turbo if they need the 365-HP for highway chases.

Downside is the old Crown Vics were a cinch to repair, with a frame straightener they could be repaired in a day in some instances after being used in forced stops, etc. The new taurus will cost quite a bit more to buff out unless they do some major chassis reinforcement.
