^^^^^^^^^^^
I'll trade in my tC right away! Even though it kind of looks like a Civic w/ a bodykit... but it'll be RWD!

I hope they do this right.....It dosent even have to be a serious HP car....I really think 160-200hp would be perfect with a light RWD car.....They need to keep the soul of the Trueno/Levin in mind when they build it....A small light weight RWD car....hell....throw in the 4ag 20v.....and keep it ol skool!

2zz is a GARBAGE motor.

and that looks way too similar to 7th gen celica which couldn't sell for the life of itself.

I like it. Put the tC engine in it. It is a good, cheap motor that seems to respond well to mods. Plus unlike the Honda civic, it has tourqe.

The 2zz is a great engine. The Lotus Elise and Exige both run the 2zz.
The reason the 7th gen didn't sell well is because the a-hole dealers only ordered Celicas with every package available boosting the base GT-S price from around $22,000 to over $27,000. It was near impossible to get a 7th gen for under $27,000 which is too expensive for what the GT-S brings to the table. A few years later the 350Z came out with a base price of $28,000 which illustrates how outrageous the $27,000 price tag was for the GT-S. From what I've read the biggest reason the 7th gen sold even at $27 grand was because everyone loved the way it looked. In conclusion You can thank the dealers for killing the 7th gen not the car itself.

^^^ couper2 is right!
I wouldn't consider the 2zz a good dragging engine, but it shines when on a road track. Also, a RWD 2zz performs a lot differently than a FWD 7th celica gts.
