i think read somewhere that just dropping a common bolt-on turbo on an sr engine would be around 280 whp. just bulk up that engine alittle more to handle more psi's, tune it and you can reach 450-500 whp. heck, throw a 100-150 shot on there if it can handle it. if he has the money, his car can take him as fast as his imagination can go.

If you didnt mind a domestic an 93-97 F-body would be good, but since you dont Id reccomend the 240 just because of its aftermarket support.
The RX7s just arent that reliable

on a stock 240sx motor (K24DE) would average 275 whp at 13 psi with a turbonetics kit plus minor tuning. (average tq is around 275 as well) just imagine with other bolt-ons, upgrading the internals or swapping for a sr20det, and expert tuning.
lean toward an s13 if you decide on one, more rare to see
