Funny, the other day as I was driving home when an Si pulls up beside me, downshifts & floors it.
Me being in 5th gear just cruising @ around 70something MPH, decided just floor it in 5th, and for a good 3-4 seconds I was keeping up with that fool (who was already in a lower gear ). Of course he eventually past me since he was reaching his redline and I was merely in 5th. Once I caught up we tried it again with an actual start via triple horn honk (that they initiated), except this time I started in 4th. Results = their a$s' got left in the dust (twice!).
Under $20K for an Si (OTD)? You must be smoking crack!

plus that fact that the site on the main page shows 2007
Honda Civic SI-Starting at 21900

didnt even go for under 21k, let alone 20k....

for the extra 4 grand, that is a cheap turbo set-up......

300 WHP tc, vs 200 flywheel hp si.....

I'd take it if it were UNDER $20k but there's no way it'll reach that price. I still like my daily tC, lets me save for the other money pit...

I agree. If it was 18K and had 0% financing, I would be all over it.

just drove the si this week, LOVED the drive it was far superior to my tc, as for styling/ergonomics toyota takes the cake. tested a number of hondas and this is the only one i've liked. right now deciding whether to replace my tc or go si. it's all coming down to price now. if the si could go uner 20k i'd really have a hard time staying with the tc. but then theres taxes titles and proessing that'll undoubtedly throw it abouve 20...any input in which i should go for?

decent s/c on an '06 tc + some handling mods/aesthetic would prob. put me around the same price as the si. which would be a better buy? any input?

If it only "came down to price now", than obviously the tC is the winner.
To make an accurate comparison you need to drive a tC with F/I, LSD, and real suspension mods, than come back and tell us which was "far superior" (aesthetic mods DO NOT COUNT as real modifications ~ in my opinion).
Like this thread has been debating, the Si is basically a upgraded Civic EX with a motor swap. It's your money, do what you want with it.

^^thank you i will do what i want with it. just asking those of you with experience which would be an all around better drive: a 22k modded tc or a 22k si?

i drove a s/c tc about a month ago with suspension mods and awesome tires, no lsd....loved it and had a hard time going back to my stock. compared to the si there was still the problem of hitting the rev limitor way too fast (issue even with my mere intake). (so this is me coming back and saying, for a decently fair comparison though not totally equal the si was still slightly better imo but the tC was still great). anyway i've decided to go back to the tC so if you want to tell me your ultimate setup for the driver's scion, just pm me

*people get so short when u compare a tC to a honda* phew!
