Stuck oil filter housing from Hell.
While trying to do an oil change on a newly acquired Matrix I broke the filter housing. The cursed thing was probably pushed into the metal thread with 1000 ft lbs of torque and seized. I tried using the paper stuffing between the oil wrench and housing while hammering it but the wrench would eventually slide out. I myself didn't have the strength to breake it lose so I just said screw it and started to slowly hammer a metal piece towards the unscrew direction but that cracked it quickly and started to leak. So i ended up just buying a new one and will try other methods to take that housing out. Any ideas and how to take it out.
I got an impact wrench with a pivoting adapter, lined the oil filter wrench with paper and while pushing down on the impact I slowly pressed on the trigger until it came loose. What a frigging nightmare to not say anything else. Anyway, I was ecstatic when I finally did it. Phew.
