As some have said and from my personal experience with used cars, you cannot put a price tag on the thing not becomming a broke down hassle, and trust me, even with imports when you start to add power, you also add down days. I think for the price there are some other options you may want to consider for the prices that you have listed. The Si civic is pretty fast for the money spent, as is the V6 tiburon (I passed on both for the Tc) but I wanted an economic daily driver that would not put me completely asleep.

Rememer, as was said, people dont buy sport cars and then drive em like granny. Any car like that is going to have some tough milege. I know 2 people personally, who thought they were getting a great deal on an 04, and 05 used WRX model only to find that the previous owners had beaten the hell out of em, and when they were about to run out of warranty they dumped them.

I too have had the "joy" of having to constantly borrow cars to keep my ride running, although not with the Tc.

After law school, Im looking to finally get my (new) G35 or 37 as they are now called. It has been somewhat of a sacrifice (the wait) but, used sporty cars are a disaster, and waiting until you can afford the real deal (new) may be the best choice. That way you will know what you are getting into.

But, if you cannot wait, get the Supra, you can make those cars increadibly powerful without spending too much. IMHO.

I actually saw one on the road for the first time in about 3 years the other day. It's a shame that it was the victim of a hideous body kit and one of those curvy double layered wings. If I find one like that if I buy one, I'm asking for the stock parts and telling the guy he can keep the aftermarket stuff (unless it has the 99+ JDM front end)

I love those fogs.

Well it turns out that neither of them might be the replacement for the tC. I don't know why, but I'm really taking interest in the Saturn SKY. I might be getting a job at a Saturn dealership, so I think that could be the replacement if I land the position there.
I've always been basically anti-Chevy, but I think the fact that this car is basically an Opel with an Ecotec, makes it bearable.

The SKY is a nice car imo. Shares a platform with the Pontiac Solstice.

Yea, but the Solstice is disgusting looking.

It's basically this with an Ecotec..
