Default what car should i get bmw or lexus?

Well im getting a new car and i have about 40k to spend.

should i get the new 2007 bmw 328i coupe with sports package and better radio and thats it OR a is350 with every upgrade they have for it nav.

bmw is about 14.8 1/4 and the is350 has hit as low as 13.5 stock. hard to choose they both great advantages....

IS definately! I hate 3 series BMW's. I call them the poor mans BMW. I do, however, like the 5's and up.

i say get an is250, 6 spd manual, and then use that saved money to turbocharge it up. i'd get the is350 if they offered it with a manual, but no clutch, no deal. anyway, why isn't the g35 in this decision?

true but girls dont really think that way. you think the 335 is a poor mans car ? poor men drive scions lol J/k !

im realy think about the 1350 now you can play dvds on the nav . how sick is that on a stock car. wish the is was 2 door but then again the is hides the back doors very well in its great body shape.

ive seen one beat a evo from a roll thats pretty sick for a auto luxury car.

The problem with the BMW 3 is that they are to obtainable. I know a guy who was a bus boy at Olive garden who bought one. To me that doesn't say BMW.. Sorry.

stick shifts are only better when the car is not equiped with a good auto tranny.

my dads 335 bmw is way faster with the smg tranny than the stick.

the 328 does not have smg as an option so the stick is faster than the auto.

you will never shift as fast or as good as a good auto tranny , besides my scion ayto tranny that thing sucks!

i test drove the 350 today and with the dts off i broke the tires loose popping into 2nd put a smile on my face .

go with the lexus. I know people who've had problems with BMW and something always seems to break on them...

oh and not to mention the lexus looks better to me and seems like the better deal. And yea 3 series are played out... where as a lexus is a RWD japanese beast which is still luxurious and classy at the same time..

I guess I'm biased being a jap lover, but the new lexuses are beautiful. I know a lady that just got a 350 and that thing is gorgeous...

Then he's dealin a little sumtin sumtin on the side if you know what I mean...to LEASE a 328i would be around 600-800 depending on credit, to BUY one add about 2-300....not exactly a cheap car

Personally, i LOVE the 335i, 0-60 in 4.8, amazing car, but i like how the lexus IS series looks better, personally. If I were to get one now, i'd rather have a IS250 as opposed to a 328i. Its about the same price WITH nav, and just looks sweeter. Not dissing the bmw's, if i had 50g's to spend i'd get a fully loaded 335i I think, but for the entry version i say go lexus, with nav.

jeff

P.S. an IS350 withe every option is going to run you 45k, a BMW 328i base model will run you about 32k....you're comparing apples to oranges, why not decide between a 335i and an IS 350, at least you're comparing apples to apples that way...and not have a 13k price gap

well it seams you dont know the prices so let me inform you..

bmw 328i coupe $35k 13 speaker radio $1300 paint $500 sports package $1000 dual power seats $800 dealer fees $900

bmw about 39 K my lease payment which i have in writting with a 765 cedit score is ($565)

bmw is not discounting the car to much since it is new and there is a 2 month wait.

lexus 350 ($35k) package that includes everything $5750 dealer fees $700 some other stuff 1-2 k

but remember this car has been out for awhile so there is a discount guy at the dealer told me he would match the bmw lease price. ($560)

bmw has a special lease offer on the 328i coupe only

apples to apples now you see . build one youl see.

is350 is winning my heart very fast.

Dude, try to relax a bit....i didn't read that it was a coupe....i was thinking sedan pricing since thats what I'VE always been considering. The sedans start at 42k, and if you do price out a FULLY LOADED is350, its just over 45k, as I said...i was just trying to offer my advise on both cars, relax a bit, ok junior?

the price of the car really doesnt matter as much as how well the car holds its value.

a 40k gmc lease would be way higher than a 40k lexus lease . eaither way they said they will match the bmw price . guess the demand is niot as high for the is350 any more.

Why are you leasing? I see leasing as renting a car for 5 years.

No Problem,

And I like the 4 doors when they're lowered with rims and a nice body kit...but with regards to your choice, i'd go with the Lexus....keep it jdm ;)

well my dads a cpa and he ran the numbers . it seems if you keep your car for 3 or less years it comes out to the same or cheaper plus you dont have to worry about selling your car. which is a hassle for me right now since i own.

in regards to leasing is like renting. I hear that alot from kids now adays when some one has a nice car and they are leasing idn why. unless your car is payed off the bank owns your car . so whats the diffence if i pay lexus or a pay a bank ?

just mho, but go with the lexus. more dependable.

a 3-series (to me) is all about the name. "i drive a BMW (but all i could afford was the entry level model)"

That is exactly the point I was trying to get across.
