I don't think you quite understand the appeal of a truck to the youth market. It's there, they want it. The main problem is the gas mileage stigma, but some larger vehicles(SUVs/Trucks) are getting better mileage. If scion comes out with a truck, you know it'll get good mileage, and the kids will flock.

Default Here's a hybrid rumor

Saw this in a recent article on the Bloomberg site:

The company will also have to master new hybrid engine technologies. At the Detroit auto show in January, Toyota plans to preview a sports car with gasoline and electric motors that is projected to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in four seconds, faster than a Chevrolet Corvette with a gasoline engine.

I like VIOS Solunas... if its a sedan i hope they bring the turbo over too!

I've seen and taken a ride in a Soluna in THailand.. theyR nice! Plus i think it'd be decently cheap since they run the 1NZ-FE too.. hmm

what about a mini truck with a corolla motor and a small 5 PSI turbo. it can have 4WD, like the jap trucks of yesteryear, last forever, more dependable, got the job done, and airbag the f*ck out of it why not, the colorado is hidious and toyota needs a compact, midsice pick up truck with a little turbo. my estimate 34MPG 5 speed 2 wheel drive 165HP

I should work for toyota Damnit!!!

My guess is a small truck . Toyota just upsized the Tacoma . Now they still need a small entry level pickup . ??? dl = stand for delivery , tc = touring coupe . Scion did say they plan on a pickup in the lineup

i hope to all that is good that this vehicle isnt a truck, suv or 4dr hatch like the 2 scion already have.

id like to see a 2 door hatch like the civic hatch or a nice low slung sports coupe like the 4th gen Honda Prelude. Something with a targa top would be nice too.

i see some people posting the word "youth" and i feel that "youth" is a tough word to define and even tougher to translate into what the next scion will be since everyone has a different opinion of what vehicle would be a good "youth" vehicle.

honestly... i think scion spread this rumor to stir up some controversy and see what the majority of the public wants via forums like these and stuff. sort of like let the people build a car but we wont pay them... ya know?

just my .o2

Kenshi... i doubt it'll be the Wish... its too much like the matrix. TheyR the same size and everything

I think Toyota woulda brought over the Wish if they didnt ally with GM to develop the Matrix/Vibe.
