Default you think you have wide wheels...

you got nothing on those crazy Euro guys. yes its excessive. no its not very pretty. but the guy got them on and did all the body work himself in his garage so i gotta respect that. plus he probably has one of the rarest wheels on the road.

BBS RS 128 (15"x11") ET 61
BBS RS 072 (15"x9") ET 3
4x100

The wheels are around 15-20 year old and are original motorsport versions as opposed to the more common BBS RS 001s. From my research I found that these were fitted to old skool E30 BMW DTM touring car racers as can be seen in the pic below. They were also fitted to Wide body Reiger GTO Corrado and VWs

That's more 'Under Construction' than 'Rice', in my opinion. These are pretty wide too.

Gotta love the crazy euro and JDM wide rims. Nice find Scott. You still have a place in your heart for VW. It's ok. We all have guilty pleasures....

Is there any huge gain that wider wheels bring you? Yeah, you have more rubber to the ground but I don't know if that means much in a 105hp econobox....

Its all about better cornering and thus maintaning more speed through corners. In that regards then yes, it does make a difference on a 105hp econobox....
