Default 5/6 point harness guys...

How are you mounting your 5th/6th points on the floor? Are you welding in hard points or doing a drill/tap/install eyelet hole?

I'm about ready to put in my 5pt setup, but don't want to halfass the sub-belt and am having a hard time deciding if I should do a weld in hard point or just do a drill/tap/eyelet setup.

Thoughts? Any pictures of your setups?

When I had 5 points I had the sub strap wrapped around the seat bracket but i would use the plate and eyebolt.

Using the plate and eye bolt is your safest and easiest method. Other options are to use the existing lap belt attachment points (if your 5/6-pt leads are long enough) or welding a bracket into place.

The knot method is definitely NOT the way to go...no matter how fancy you think it is.

Yea, I'm pretty sure no matter how I do it the lead for my 5th point is too short to use a stock mounting location. I had assumed a plate/eye setup was going to be the best, just hoping to avoid accidentally doing work that was already remedied in some other fashion.

I looked at my seat rail and tried to fathom a way to tie the belt, but I couldn't see a way to do it that I would trust to support me in a crash.
