Default Autocross video from Saturday!!!

I didn't know I dance in my car haha

Anyways got 2nd place cause of being in a street mod pax (only because of my Carbon Fiber hood) I needed to beat the guy behind me buy over 2 seconds or something to take 1st even though he was 1 sec behind me - I changed my hood back the the stock on saturday for todays race- then we got rained on and my tires did me no justice.

So now I can run in STS and gonne pick up some Azenis and go LAY it DOWN. (Usually doesn't rain where we are but I am putting down great times... I sacrifice alot of speed I could carry better because of my current tires though)

I race street tire atm so I would not want any stiffer and really a little body roll is good for setting the weight directly over the tire. If I wanted to go goilover and get stiffer I would need race tires and a camber kit to keep the car from losing it.

Yeah you do not have to have really stiff suspension for AutoX - sometimes depending on how you setup your car a little body roll can be beneficial. Mine rolls a little but there is no 'uneccesary' body roll.

I am just learning from the guys that drive in nationals etc - one of those guys took a stock protege with race tires on it and showed almost everyone up. haha

wow, yeah thats what im really liking about this sport. speed isnt really the game, its driver skill.

Im prolly going to get some light 17" wheels with stiky tires and the stage 2 brake upgrade from stoptech and then i should be all set.

There is a meet on June 18th so i have a bit of time. i cant wait!

Awesome - just watch out on the regulations though. My CF hood through me in Street Mod PAX - I would probably stick with a 17x7.5 wheel and the Falken Azenis try to stay in STS.

You don't really need a brake upgrade put the money more where it will count in other areas.

I you remove cats
go to a 8" wide wheel
etc etc it could put you in a class you do not wanna be in.

Change parts to take you into a harder class than the car is built for - try to stay as stock as possible. Read up on the regulations or as your local pro's what they would recommend.

I wouldn't go street mod without an LSD and a supercharger with race tires and wheels maybe some lightening of the car.

cool ,yeah, ive been reading about your experiances with the CF hood.

the only power mods i have is CAI and a crank pulley. other than that, i have coilovers. im hoping that will keep me in the stock class. ill def go no bigger than a 7.5" width for a wheel.

Did you do an E-Brake pull at the very last sec. of your run? It looked like you did a quick 180 at the very end, and I saw a little bit of smoke.
