First RallyX This Weekend! MOAR PICS!
Ran my first rallycross event this weekend - figured I'd just edit this first post to include all of the "goodies" from the event.
We had the event at Blackrock Speedway in Dundee NY. It's regularly a dirt oval for some um... redneck racing on most weekends. I hear there was a race night on Friday night just before our event on Saturday. Thankfully the BR guys had prepped the course quite well. We used a large chunk of the actual oval and a lot of the infield. Ended up with 16 cars registered - which is up from 14 registered at the same event last year.
They had setup one course and we ran 4 runs on that. Then they reversed it and changed a couple little things and we ran 4 more runs. We were going to get 3 more with a slightly different setup but the dust was getting to be ridiculous so we stopped the timing equipment and let some people take some fun runs.
The second video is probably the best... was definitely a more fun course in that config. I'm waiting on some more pics to be posted as I know a couple more were taking some during the day. Should hopefully have some good shots of my car.

Fixed the page and moved everything to the first post. Added full results too! You can see that I didn't do fantastic... but my first couple runs were a bit iffy as I was feeling things out and gauging what things were going to be like.
Still waiting on more pics from people and will share when I get them...

Ya, there was a blue STI that did REALLY well. And an older 2.5 RS that was pretty close.
Was a TON of fun. Will likely do it again next year or whenever our next event is. Sadly I can't run the autox this weekend as I just had my appendix out this morning.
More on that here: http://www.allankintz.com/2009/08/25...-who-needs-it/
It has been a really long 24 hours.

I'm hoping it takes off a bit more for our region. We just had our first one last year. This event was our second one ever (that I know of). There's still a chance of another event later on this year if they get some of the details nailed down.
Here are a couple more pics from some college kid that was taking a bunch of pics (I emailed him to try to get some more).

I have more pics to process for this! Have them in my computer at this point but have to get them uploaded and posted.
Oh... and we have one more RallyX coming up on 10/11 outside of Syracuse!
