I didn't watch that race, but I looked it up and yes it was Jpn. I guess the rain was so hard the safety car led the first 19 laps! And only 10 cars finished...

See!! Imagine if it did not rain. It would have been awesome with that long straight away that track has.

The Fugi Television Japan Grand Prix will be cool this year with out the traction control. Especially at turn one.

It will be October 10-12.

Wow, Massa and Raikkonen doing well. It looks like Ferrari's got it goin on...

Nice, Renault hasn't done as well as I thought they would in the first 3 races. That may change if they're 2-3 in practice...

What place is Jarno in? I've always liked Jarno, and I like Toyota as well. Thats great he's faster than Kovalainen (he's a pretty good driver).

I guess I'll root for the underdogs as well: DC and the Toyotas.

It would be cool to mix it up, and see someone other than the Ferraris and McLarens winning!

Jarno is in 7th with 8 points. He has to pull something out his but to win more against Ferrari.

Toyota is in 5th place in the constructor's points. Also with 8 points. BMW Sauber has 30 points?!

Ya, but once in a while I like some LIGHT rain to mix up the weather a little bit. I don't want it too dangerous or anything. That was the first race at Fuji Speedway right? I'm partial to Suzuka, I like it better for some reason haha.

That turn one at Fuji will be killer without traction control. Like Australia, I think some mistakes will be made on the first turn for sure...

I REALLY wanna go to a race now, I've never been. Maybe I'll try Canadian GP 2009...

Heidfeld/BMW have been doing well!

I need to loose a lot of weight though. Those dang things are small. I don't know how David Coulthart fits in that thing. He definitely over 6'.

What an exciting race today! It started slow, because of a few accidents. The safety car was out for a good length of time. Here is a link to the results of the race.

http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2008/790/6502/

Kimi Raikkonen and his Ferrari captured the checked flag in a fairly easy win with a time of 1:38:19. Felipe Massa(Ferrari) and Lewis Hamilton(McLaren-Mercedes) followed.

Heikki Kovalainen and the other McLaren-Mercedes was in quite a major accident. At turn nine midway through the race, his left-front tire blew out and control and ended up in a tire wall. Here is the link:

http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2008/4/7695.html

And now Toyota. Jarno Trulli still is keeping it alive with a 8th place finish(+59.4 sec). He earned 1 point towards the driver's standings. Timo Glock on the other hand, has been struggling this year. He finished 12th and has earned no points this season. Toyota is in 5th place in the constructor's standings with 9 points. Both Trulli and Glock have a lot of catching up to do.

The next race will be at Petrol OFISI Turkish Grand Prix. Let me say that this track is amazing! The circuit length is 5.338 km and the record lap time was set in 2005 by Juan Pablo Montoya. Here is the link to the behemoth of a track.

http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2008/4/7695.html

First practice starts at 3:30 am(eastern) on May 9th. The race will be on Sunday, May 11th at 8:00am.

I didn't get to watch the race.

Honestly, the top 3 in that race doesn't surprise me at all haha...

Trulli didn't do that bad. At least he got one point.

Webber for Red Bull and Jenson for Honda did well.

What a strange turn of events happened recently. Super Aguri Honda has withdrawed out of the 2008 championship. They will cease activities on May 6th.

http://www.formula1com.com/news/head...08/5/7730.html

It is such a shame that this happened, because Super Aguri Honda, lead by Aguri Suzuki, did good last season, placing 9th in the constructor's points. And they also have two great drivers: Takumo Sato and Anthony Davidson.

The breach of contract by the promised partner SS United Oil & Gas Company resulted in the loss of financial backing.

That sucks.

That sucks. I liked that team too. I wanted to see 'em do well. Usually teams don't withdraw in the middle of the season either. Maybe they'll miraculously run in to the money they need via sponsorship or someone will purchase them.

Ferrari is on fire this year. I heard something about the team modifying something to their engine. I don't remember what though.

Not many fans of F1 here.

I can't wait for this weeks race at Monaco. it is my favorite track. The slight curve after turn seven there is the coolest part of the track. It leads into a tunnel that boggles the mind!!

Practice 1 & 2 start this Thursday at 4:00 am.

Monaco has always been my fave too. I like turn 5, the tight hairpin. Thats an amazing corner.
