Ooops...been slacking.

Ferarri has plans to celebrate their 60th anniversary with an exposition in Melbourne. Ferarri will have plenty of cars on display and will even have a F1 run down the streets in the heart of the city.

Sounds cool...I wish I could go.

I really like all kind of motorsports, and suddenly I have developed some kind of curiosity for F1.

Andretti ‘Grateful’ for Poor Weather

"IndyCar driver Marco Andretti took advantage of the tricky conditions at a wet Jerez track this week to gain the maximum experience from his second Formula One test with Honda. A delighted Andretti covered just under 140 laps of the Spanish circuit during the two-day session in the team’s 2006 car, the RA106."

“It has been a pleasure to have Marco with us this week and to give him a further opportunity in the 2006 car,” said the Honda team’s engineering director, Jacky Eeckelaert. “Once again Marco has shown a high level of ability, given his relative inexperience, and his long run pace in particular was quite impressive. With the poor weather conditions, Marco drove for the first time in the wet and adapted very well to the difficult track conditions without making any mistakes.”

Off topic, but did anyone hear about Erin Crocker being on the pole for the ARCA race today? 3:00 p.m. CST on SpeedTV. Not that I'm a huge stock car fan, but that should be interesting.

I guess the guy she beat (ending his pole streak at 4) shook her hand afterward and told her to "buckle up".

I love F1. Started watching it in 2005, and got really hooked in 2006. I love Ferrari now, but before I always thought that they where some Lambo rip off. Please forgive me Enzo.

I'm want to go the USGP (actually drive there from L.A.), but that all depends on when UPS decides to promote me. Should be sometime this year. Hopefully not too late.

Boy, that BMW-Sauber driver Robert Kubica is doing quite well during testing.

02-12 Barcelona - 2nd
02-07 Jerez - 3rd
02-02 Valencia - 3rd
02-01 Valencia - 3rd

I think he's going to do well this year. Remember last year at Monza.....

The demise of Alonso gave third place to an impressive Robert Kubica, in only his third F1 race. He made a terrific start to jump from sixth on the grid to third and then held back the opposition with assurance. On lap 18 Robert took the lead when Kimi and Michael pitted and he stayed out five laps longer. Alonso and Massa was clearly quicker but they could not break Kubica and it was not until the second stops that Fernando finally got ahead when he and Kubica were in the pits together. They emerged side by side and Alonso got the drop. Alas, he then suffered his engine failure and so Kubica came home third and no doubt there was dancing on the streets in Poland for this was a very exciting performance.

every year I say I'm going to go to the USGP and every year I end up not going. Maybe this will be the year.

Anyways, I'm cautiously optimistic that Williams is going to bounce back this year. So far, so good.

Liuzzi In, Speed In Doubt at Toro Rosso

"Scott Speed’s Formula 1 future plans took a blow this Tuesday, when Scuderia Toro Rosso announced that the American’s position with the squad remains doubtful due to “contractual issues”. "

I hope they somehow get this worked out.

Damn, no Speed. "Contractual issues," I hope it's not 'cause He's gettin' greedy.

There's an interesting series of articles on Formular1.com about how a F1 car is assembled:

Speed's Deal Hinges on His "Commitment", Berger Says 02-22-07

The reason behind Scuderia Toro Rosso’s delay in confirming Scott Speed as its second driver for the 2007 season is a possible lack of full commitment by the American, team co-owner Gerhard Berger told autosport.com.

Swwweeeeet! I'm really glad Scott will be back. I think Gerhard Berger was trying scare tactics and testing his commitment. It's a lot more fun watching F1 when there's an America to root for, even if he's not a front runner "yet", I guess

Toro Rosso Confirms Speed's Return 02-04-07

Scuderia Toro Rosso has confirmed that Scott Speed will continue racing for the team in 2007. The American's future remained uncertain in recent months, but after reaching an agreement with the Red Bull-owned squad, the team said he will continue to drive alongside Vitantonio Liuzzi.
