google 2 step, lauch control, or stutter box.

basically just lets you sit at whatever RPM's you set it at. but id consider that cheating, takes all the fun out of it and requires no skill.

this is a video of it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl79FuyQH6s

sounds like hes hitting the rev-limiter but the comp. just stop u at a certain RPM so itll bounce there.

i think the only way to get it on our cars is with AEM Standalone

I haven't really ever tried launching the tC but just play around and see what causes the least wheelspin.

another option

I wouldnt use any of the over the counter fuel injector cleaner. Try to find someone local in your area who will clean them for you.
Here is the guy that we use:
http://www.aztpi.com/home.php?xid=1a...427062e988b2e8

Give him a ring and see if he will do a quick turn around for an out of state customer.

Slicks and remove everything out of your car that you dont need. This includes seats, speakers, spare, interior pieces, etc

Its a tough call to literally strip your car, but when you get the bug there is no telling the lengths that you will go to make your car faster.

Do you have your old wheels to mount slicks?

On the gas bit ...
You can certainly get crappy gas even at a Shell station, and I have datalogs from my Subaru to prove it [massive knock correction, as much as -7]. Additionally, Shell only adds their cleaning detergents to the premium-grade V-Power which would be a waste on a stock tC motor unless tuned.
BP is just as good but it's better in the sense that they now add their cleaning agents to ALL their gas grades, not just the premium grade. I'm sure Shell will follow.
Up until this datalog I used to get nothing but Shell, 91-grade was the norm. Now I am switching to BP which here in bomfu-err ... Lincoln Nebraska is 92 octane. On top of that, try to stick to a gas station that sees frequent traffic, not one that's got gas sitting in it's tanks for long periods of time.

On the fuel injector bit, after having talked to several shops I trust, including high-performance modding ones, yes, the off-the-shelf fuel injector cleaners that you get at gas stations are for the most part crap. What you want to do is pick yourself up a can of BG44K from your local Autozone/Advance Auto Parts/etc. and run that once a year or so.

At altitude (N/A cars run around a second slower up here), after a couple summers of drag racing, the best time I have put down is a 16.6 with a 2.4 60' time. It took me a while, as the launch is tricky. I usually rev to 3k and slip the clutch quickly...

I was running way worse for a while (17s). The best way to cut down your time is to practice the launch...
