blah blah blah, you shouldn't street race.

anyway, they aren't that fast. they got no torque. they are about handling. not straightline performance.

also, it could have been an auto, those are terribly slow.

and if it was auto, you shoulda taken it.

Even if it was a Manual, they are not fast at all for the price you pay. They still are like 15sec cars even if it is a Manual.

Not saying tC's are fast or anything, but they hang with a car that's above it's price range (RX. As mentioned, they are better in the twisty's.

I raced one when I was in my 350z, and I was VERY disappointed in it. Cause I left it HARD!

Funny thing is, I went to the Dealership and was about 2 inches away from buying this Yellow Rx8. THANK THE GOOD HAND OF GOD FOR COMING FROM THE HEAVENS AND SLAPPING ME IN THE FACE AND SAYING........BOY, I TAUGHT YOU BETTER THAN THAT! YOU DO SEE THAT 350Z SITTING OVER THERE RIGHT!

So, I walked out with a Touring Ed. 6spd 350z instead...

2nd gen rx-8 will at least have twin turbo like the 7 did.. hopefully :p

i think rx-8's are nice. every auto mag and tv show in the world praises it. (top gear, car and driver, etc..)

i did test drive one, and i wasnt thrown back in my seat at all. Definatley get a turbo with it, then it will be a nice nice car instead of a nice car :p

the rx-8 is just lame because it is only good at one thing, handling. it isn't a practical daily driver, it isn't fast, and it isn't even fuel efficient. car and drivers long term 6 spd rx8 only got 19 mpg highway. and it was discussed on another thread how turboing a rotary engine reduced engine life.

its a cult car dude. the delorean is VERY lame, but people LOVE them.

Kinda like the xB, slow, but very lovable.

RX-8 is a very lovable car i would get one all black with black leather and mazdaspeed kit, thats just to hot to handle.

i'd definitely get an rx-8 over a 350z on any day. i think the 350z is overrated. i've got to admit though that it's fast compared to the rx-8. and another bad thing about the rx-8 is its very poor resale value. the culprit: poor gas mileage. styling is superb - unique and aggressive. 350z's are just too popular... rx-8 is pretty much like an xB, but in a different class.

The Z toasts that car on the street. How do I know....I speak from actual race experience because I own a 350z. RX8 in a straight line is about as fast as a Stock Scion tC. I raced an 8 on the interstate in my Z. I literally thought the dude slipped off the gas or something, cause I walked him like he for got to say GO.

I'm sorry, but I just have a problem with paying $25k+ for a car that drives that slow.

Ya I've been thinking a lot about trading for a black 04 Z. The only thing holding me back is the insurance and I would feel dumb for trading a car I just boosted....
