S/C'd auto tc vs. I/E 5spd tc...RESULTS INSIDE!

Default S/C'd auto tc vs. I/E 5spd tc...RESULTS INSIDE!

ok,

my s/c'd auto:

stock header, stock boost, 2.5" s-pipe and midpipe, greddy sp2 axleback.

5spd:
stock header (90%sure)
CAI (not sure of brand)
TRD exhaust

1st run: 1.5 lengths before i had to kill it
2nd run: 2-2.5 lengths before i had to kill it

and the question is finally answered..s/c'd auto will beat modded 5spds. and i know this one didnt have a header because the trd wasnt as loud as it should've been. but then i dont hav my header on right now either so i thought those cancel eachother out.

um... yea.... 15.2 is faster than 15.7/15.6

S/c autos run 15.2? I didnt think they were that fast.

well... they run "close" to a 15.2
my friend who has an auto tC raced a stock RSX-S and lost by almost 2 car lengths to 90mph
bone stock RSX-S runs 15.0 with a normal/decent driver
and rule of them in the 1/4th mile is that every .1 seconds is about 1 car length.

I have an auto myself, but TRD Exhaust has no performance gain, and CAI will add 2~5hp I guess, which means it's almost stock, not modded much. it's like race between F/I vs N/A. If 5spd has I/H/E setup(injen CAI+good header+maybe catback) and good driver, results will be different I guess.

Naturally a S/C auto would beat a basically stock manual, the loss at the torque converter isn't that much. I race my friends manual tc with a fujita intake, and my auto with an injen, and he normally beats me by about a car, so that's not surprising.

For some reason this doesn't suprise me. I would expect the S/C to pull on N/A.

well i havent really been on the forums recently. last time i was here ppl were posing the question if it was really worth s/c and auto and if it could even beat an i/h/e 5spd tc . thats the reason why i made his post..i was unaware that someone already got this answered. oh well

ummm i have headers and intake and spipe and if ur running 15.2 i can beat u espiacially since im faster on the street then track

all runs for for different cars vary obviously... not all autos will run the same, neither will manuals, driver is also another big factor

I ran a 15.6 with intake header and exhaust on my auto with stock tires...

^^^DAng! What track are you at. I have a intake and only can run 16.9; but I'm at high elevation. What do you run now with all the stuff you have now?

I havent been back to the track. The only thing ive done that is different since then is the underdrive pulley. That was with an auto tranny cooler too. I have 19" wheels on now so heavier wheels=slower car.

I was at richmond dragway in may timeframe. it was nice and cool out. I power braked the shxt out of it too. I wore out my brakes pretty bad at the track.

When I power Braked my rpms only got up to around 2200. and I had it mashed as far as I could get it to go.
