Default So here they are... Today's Vidz - UPDATED w/ Pics!

Went autoxing again today. We had the old airstrip again. Though this time it wasn't a large, fast, sweeping course. It was a short course that was extremely technical that we doubled back on. Still a lot of fun as always.

I finally won my class too! Because there was no one else in it today!

Ya, I know... only 1 car in STS... wtf?

Anyway, here are the goods. Sorry for all of the wind noise... not much I can do.

Oh... and I have a couple pics that'll eventually add here. I'm going to have a couple drinks though... it's been a long day.

Yup, it was definitely a good time. We ended up having 2 run groups of about 14 or 15 and got in 7 runs each. The turnout was a little smaller than normal b/c it was last minute notice.

But it was just a gorgeous day. Perfect for racing... it was about 75 deg and sunny all day with a few clouds in the afternoon and a light breeze all day.

We don't have another event up here for a few weeks, so my car gets a rest and I get to fix my sway bar issues... hopefully.

AHAHHA yeah agreed.. we had like 80-90 ppl show...6 runs two run groups... we run at night here in vegas only kuz the summer afternoons are soooo hot....i dont know about running in 116 degree weather plus lots of sun... so we run at night...its like 95-100 degrees but without the sun...so its a little cooler...

I think night runs would be awesome if you have the right place - but it makes sense with the heat.

BTW... results were FINALLY posted for the past weekend. You can find them here.

I was right about where I expected to be for the cars that were there. Next one is a ways off though.

Here are a couple more pics from a "photographer" from this event. Only 2 of me though... but oh well. If I can ever get some friends or something to actually show up, maybe they can take a few of me. Hopefully...

Anyway, here they are:

No... but I leave it open b/c of my helmet... just in case. I'm kinda tall, so with the helmet on, I'm pretty close to the sunroof just sitting there (I actually hit the roof around the sunroof), so I don't want to risk bouncing around while racing and damaging it.

i run with mine open as well...as do most others (non-tc owner/driver) if the car has a sunroof... usually because of the helmet...however...it does kind of depend on how you position yourself in your seat... as the year and half has gone by ive learned that if i sit straight up and somewhat closer to the steering wheel than normal i have more control over the car... therefore having my helmet up against the roof of the car... also the same reason why ack154 opens his sunroof as well... but some people like to keep it closed or have absolutely no choice but to drive with the roof sitting right on top of their head...but it isnt mandatory that you open up your sunroof...its just all about what feels comfortable to you...

ack154...unfortunately i dont have any pictures from my last run on june 30th, because it was a night and i ran in the second run group. we have another event this saturday, im super excited because they have a NHRA and D1 event this weekend, so i think instead of the 5-6 runs we usually get at a night event we'll be getting a little bit more seat time which is great! if i can get some pictures up i'll post it
