Unfortunately they will never stop street racing. Something imbedded into the car
culture. The dead end street where I work looks like a drag strip and drifting course.
Every monday when I come to work I see more and more tire marks. Street racing has
never been smart but I can't say that I have never done it.

its not just us though... my friends mom tries to race every time she pulls up to some one....
i think the state should build drag strips in every city ;-). <- that sure as hell would keep me from cringing when i pay taxes...

HAHA, Perfect. This is the best thing to happend to street racing. Darwinism at it's finest. Kill the slow sick sheep in the back so the fast and healthy ones in the front can mate!..All this will do is make FASTER cars. Make racing more elliet and euphoric...AWesome! Crush the slower crappy cars so the streets are left with glorious, fast, machines..!!!!! Way to go California.
Ha, they just did the second segment. This time they put a Acura on top of the already crushed honda. They had the acura owner watching his car getting crushed on top of the honda. After the deed was done, he was asked if this would stop him from street racing. He said NO. Big surprise!
wow, what a bold and impactive punishment. I agree about crushing instead of parting out since the people they would be parting out to would also be using the parts to sup up their cars. Thats not to say that whoever buys the parts would street race, but its just like melting down guns that are taken from criminals.

Street racing is pretty bad out here in the IE (Inland Empire) of SOCAL. The industrial part of Ontario has streets a mile long as straight as an arrow and well paved. No traffic to speak of a night. Thus a magnet for the races.
OK--the rest of the story:

5 of the 6 cars crushed had stolen engines and/or trannys.........

i agree its a good idea...however yes the cops would probably take advantage of it and come after any modified car they think street raceds...some cops do have a tendency of taking advantage of things like this...
but crushing a car is pretty painful...just if youre gonna street race...be aware of your consequences.... i hate it when ppl complain that they're doing crap like this...thats what you get for doing stupid crap like that! makes us (the ones that dont take part in street racing/illegals) look bad and we get profiled too!
