Default Surprised a TSX!!!

So last night at around 11:30pm i was on my way to my boys house to hang out. I had just gotten off the freeway when i see a TSX in front of me, and the guy driving it was trying to flex on a poor little stock XA!!! From the looks off it all the TSX had was rims, tint, and it was lowered. So when we pull up to the light i didn't think he would want to try me, but i was wrong!! he rolls down his window and starts to stare as to say i wish your little TC would try to keep up.

So then he turns to his girl in the passenger seat, and starts to point at my car, as if he was trying to tell her that my car was slow, and he could take me any time. So i roll down my window, and asked him if "he was running anything under the hood of that overpriced honda", his reply was "Probably more than you'll ever have under the hood of that cheap Toyota".

(Now this was more than enough to drive any normal person to step out of their Scion walk over to that little piece of crap Acura, and kick the S*** out of it. But instead i figured if i can take him i'll just make him look stupid in front of his girl, and that should be more than enough.) Now back to the race...

So he starts to rev at me and so i rev back at him.....
The light turns green and....
I get him all the way through 4th, by a good 1-2 car lengths before we had to slow down for the next light. Now this time i was on the right side of his car, and i see his girl talking to him, as if she was asking "what the hell happened???". :?
So just to make things worse i rev my engine at him, hoping he wanted to run again. So he barely peeks over with a confused look on his face. :?
(NOW HERES THE BEST PART)
When i see that he isnt going to run again, i roll down my window and turn up the music and as i look over one more time i see his girl looking at me, she looks at my car up and down, then looks at me again and "SMILES, AND WAIVES". :D
After a good 30 seconds the XA pulls up next to me throws a thumbs up, and takes the turn to the right.
:D SCION > ACURA :?

yes!!! if you didn't get it the first time read the story again!!!! a TSx is about 400 pounds heavier, and he had another person in the car.

And no, Acura is not a POS.
ANyhow, good job on shuttin him up! Didnt think an auto tC would take down a TSX.... I assume the TSX is auto as well.

Well for the people that still doubt an auto TC can pull on a TSX, here is some info.
Stock TC weighs about 3000lbs. Stock TSX weighs about 3400.
Stock TC (auto) run HIGH 15's, Stock TSX run LOW 16's or HIGH 15's. Also the Tsx had a passenger, and Chrome rims (might as well put on bricks to race), and didn't have any power mods that i could see.
While my TC has a decent amount of bolt-on. Even though it may not make a big difference those Bolt-on do help. So if that TSX was Stock i have no doubt that i would be able to pull on it time and time again.

It would've been nice if you took pics, but nice story! No doubt the TSX is one overpriced Honda.

FYI
An auto tC runs a 16.7 STOCK, which is nowhere near high 15's.

So is a Lexus ES.... compared to the tC, most cars may seem overpriced.

He does make a good point about chrome wheels though. That in conjunction with the tendency towards chrome nearly always going hand in hand with a choice of alarger wheel diameter (18 more likely 19+) would give the corners a substantial difference in weight, specifically with regards to rotational mass. This may seem like an improper conclusion, but if the person had purchased chrome rims, the likelihood is that he is less apt to go for power mods, and holds greater importance to the show aspect of modding. With that said, in accordance with SP's story and despite the Car and Driver numbers provided, it is feasible that an auto tC with mild bolt on power mods could indeed prevail upon a TSX with what may be primarily aesthetic based mods.

Entertaining story nonetheless
