Default Time Attack at WSIR

Me doing some time attack competition at willow springs international raceway with extreme time attack. This is their first actual time attack, they are just testing to get an idea for the full series next year. I ended getting 1st place in my dividion. There were only 2 other cars in the FWD class, it was an acura rsx-s and a acura integra. I beat both of them by 3 seconds. Here are a few videos of the competition, fisrt 2 videos were practice runs and the last two were the timed runs.

I spin out on the first lap, then u see me pass a renatl race car, took a while for him to let me pass.

On this one i pass the rsx-s that was in my class, then I catch up to an M3 and a CR-Z, at 4:35 I spin out at 95mph

This is the timed run, I catch up the M3 and pass him. 1 warm up lap and 3 hot laps

My final timed run and best timed lap, I caught up to the WRX, i could of gotten a better time but forgot to fuel up and was getting fuel cut.

it was the front that was loosing it. I was using the continental extreme contact DW, those were last days for the tires. they held up pretty good for how wore out they were. trying to get a new set of tires now. Doing this and HPDE events makes me go thru tires every 6-8 months

wow those tires have not hit enough heat cycles, to break loose. my front is breaking loose on turns also, but has plenty of tread left. i liked those vid's, looked like a great day to learn.

i could of shaved off another second or two but towards the end of the day the sun was setting n it was hard to see were the road was, so i didnt take the turns as hard as i was suppose to. Also a new set of tires would of helped. I had a blast that day. Cant wait till I start the time attack season this year.
