Default Undefeated at Scion Exposed 2010

Just got back from Scion Exposed 2010. I was undefeated at drag racing. The turbo tC's were not representing at all. No turbo tC there were running anything better than a mid 14. The N/A tC's were running 16 and 17sec 1/4 mile times.

I was the fastest N/A tC there which is funny because I have stock header and intake (since going back on boost soon).

I was running 15.5 @ 88 mph. One Guy with a Supercharged tC made me pop my Hood to confirm that I was stock because I beat him by about 4 - 5 cars. The other S/C tC that was there said that his best time was a 15.3. Many people couldn't believe that I was just running an exhaust and weight reduction done.

Yea it seemed like people were more prepared for the auto-x than the drags. Kind of sad the boosted tC's were not fast.

Bhahaa! Yeah, fastest turbo tC ran like a 14.3... Oh well, I know I'll be at the top of the list next time in terms of performance.

We even ran faster than a claimed 600whp tC....lol.

LOL...YEP! Supposedly this tC was pushing 600whp. First off...EPIC FAIL when you come rolling up to the drag strip with a 600whp and what looked like 35 series Low Profile street tires on. You plan on going where with street tires on a 600Fwhp car?

There was an attempt to do a burn out, didn't really happen. Then lights drop...and Putt, putt.... Car runs a 17.1 @ 78mph on the very first pass. That was the only pass.

Later word got around that it was a boost problem, that it should be hitting 20lbs or so but was stuck at 8. Even at 8lbs of boost shouldn't be that slow. It didn't seem like a car that was well put together.

I don't have a pic of it, but the IC pipes were sticking out the front bumper, and there were huge Lines (what I thought might have been oil cooler lines), hanging down out the front bumper, clearly visible just looking at the car.

He carried it in on a trailer....and I guess...carried it out on a trailer.

Im sorry I struck a nerve with some people, I knew that would happen though.

As far as the exposed event, it was very fun and it was nice to see so many Scions come together in one spot. In defense to the 600whp tC, his intercooler pipe popped off and wasnt spotted until it was too late. His friend with the white xA kept me in the loop with that situation.

Thanks to Ken Gushi and his crew for giving us spark plugs and it was fun to line up.

I know one of the turbo tC's was a Turbonetics kit with a fairly large turbo (looked like a 4inch intake on it) that was drag racing. Don't know about the others. But in their defense I guess, I think other than Justin and I, there looked to be about maybe two other people out of a field of like 25-30....that actually have been to a drag strip.

Things like....Driving through the water box with street tires on and trailing water up to the line, sorta gives you a clue that they never have done this before. Other stuff like running your air conditioner and leaking condensation on the track also gives you a sign they were new at this.

LOL...if you are going spend $k's on a turbo, I would have thought you would at least know how to race it already.

Maybe you turbo tC's on here will not be hiding behind a rock (keyboard) next time and come out and represent, cause I will be back on boost obviously by the time Scion Exposed 2011 comes around, and I plan on cleaning up the drag strip unless a few of you plan on stopping me....*cough*, *cough*. Lets see some 400whp+ tC's, 12sec, 11sec and 10sec passes.

If you wasn't there this year, then you FAIL!

lol, yeah, when it comes down to it, it is about the drivers. my driving skills are solid, but my racing skills are pretty mediocre, but luckily Moises was new to driving stick, so i cleaned his clock last year.
